Is my life going in the right direction?

Well guy you sound like a well organized successful man that has his life in order up until now, and well I feel the same way that you do. On one hand you have success and loneliness and on the other you have struggles and companionship??? So depending on which side we are on we wonder if life is going in the right direction. Well for me I've decided to do what I know is best for me and that is excel in my career before even thinking about settling down. For you you may want companionship now to help you excel in your career. You have to decide what you want and just grab it and run. If it's equilibrium you want don't work yourself to death find that equilibrium and maintain it. Life is for you to decide and for you to control the way you live it.
