What do you think of children pagents?

I saw a preview of an up and coming pagent for children that wil be televised. I'd like to hear what you think of mother's who allow it and how does the child feel? Is this healthy? What does this say about our society. Parents spend hundreds to a thousand dollars to doll up their kids. Please keep the answer short.
