I am sorry to break this to you but the Police would not have encouraged her to file against him unless they knew they had a case. The CPS will want a man who threatened 'hurt' and '' to be convicted and jailed so he is taken off the streets. He has not been 'completely open' with you. He had an affair for a year and then got very nasty when his lover rejected him. The fact that you are supporting a man who has threatened injury and to a woman who rejected him means that you have very low self esteem and you need to get urgent psychiatric help which can be organised by your GP.
